  • Changsha Metro Line 1 Begins to Introduce “Different Temperatures on the Same Train”

    Recently, as the temperature rises, the Metro Line 1 has introduced different temperatures on the same train. Carriages are divided into “cold” and “warm”. Passengers can choose carriages based on their favored temperature.

  • Free Sports Venues and Training Programs Offered to Students During Summer Vocation

    The Changsha Education Bureau announced on July 17 that 222 primary and secondary schools in Changsha will open their sports venues to the public free of charge this summer. There are 81 more venues than last year. From July 22 to August 30, there will be designated free swimming pools and sports training programs offered to primary and secondary students in the city.

  • Science Exhibition "Hawking and George's Universe" to Open July 20

    The preparation for the interactive science exhibition "Hawking and George's Universe" was completed at the Changsha Museum on July 18. Some parents and children got an advance visit that day. This exhibition is adapted from George's Universe, the only work jointly created by British physicist Stephen Hawking and his daughter Lucy Hawking.

  • 6th “Yangtze River-the Volga” Youth Forum Representatives Visit Changsha Binjiang Park

    On July 16, more than 300 Chinese and Russian youth representatives of the 6th “Yangtze River-the Volga” Youth Forum, visited the Changsha Binjiang Cultural Park. It is a landmark of Changsha City, and is the location of the Changsha Planning Exhibition Hall, Changsha Library, Changsha Concert Hall, and Changsha Museum. Through the visit, they would deepen their impressions about Changsha as the “City of Media Arts”.

  • Chinese-Russian Musicians Perform Yellow River Cantata

    The photo, taken on July 18, shows Chinese and Russian performers stage the epic music Yellow River Cantata at the Changsha Concert Hall. A symphony concert was staged at the concert hall that evening, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Russia diplomatic relations, and the 80th anniversary of the first performance of the Yellow River Cantata.
