    A new China-Europe freight train route was launched on April 13, linking Changsha with Kiev, capital of Ukraine. The first Changsha-Kiev freight train departed from the Changsha North Freight Station of Guangzhou Railway Group that day. This was the official opening of Changsha's first regular direct freight train route to Ukraine.

    A chartered airplane between Changsha and Turpan made its maiden flight on April 9. Taking off from Changsha at 9:45, it arrived at Turpan Airport at 14:20. All its 169 seats were filled.

    A new freight train service linking central China's Hunan Province and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) was launched on March 31. The route is expected to operate on a weekly basis after a three-month trial run, according to China Railway Guangzhou Group Co., Ltd. It is expected to further boost the trade between Hunan and ASEAN countries.

    The left line of the subway tunnel between Changsha Metro Line 6’s Hunan University of Commerce Station and Baigezui Station was drilled through at about 1 o’clock on March 24 morning, as the cutter head of the shield tunneling machine “Xinhe No. 6” slowly broke through the tunnel.

    The Changsha Metro Line 6 Liugoulong Station was capped on March 16. Interior decoration began then. So far, all of the 14 stations along the line in the west of Xiangjiang River have been capped. The whole line’s subway tunnel will get through within this year.
