  • 2019 Time Museum Touring Exhibition to Open at IFS August 23

    The People's Daily New Media Center launched a touring exhibition called “2019 Time Museum” in Beijing in early August to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The exhibition will be open in Changsha, Xiamen and other cities between August and October. It will showcase, in an innovative way, the tremendous changes in people’s clothing, food, house, transportation, culture, education, and many other aspects over the past seven decades.

  • Cold Storage Warehouse Keepers Work at Low Temperature for High-quality Frozen Foods

    The photo, taken on August 19, shows Changsha Hongxing Cold Storage warehouse keepers unloading goods at minus 16℃. At that time, the outdoor temperature was as high as 38℃. The warehouse handles nearly 3,000 tons of frozen goods daily. Warehouse keepers shuttle back and forth between areas with temperature difference over 50℃ every day, to provide Hunan residents with safe and reliable frozen meat products.

  • Xiangjiang River East Bank Levee Upgrading Project to Be Completed

    On August 20, the prefabricated flood control wall near Fengfan Square along the Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt was installed. It was part of the Xiangjiang River East Bank Levee Upgrading Project. So far, the project’s construction work has been finished, and the landscape renovation is underway. Starting from early September, those areas that have completed construction will be gradually open to the public.

  • “Chinese Bridge” Summer Camp Opens at HNU

    The Summer Camp of the 18th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students opened at Hunan University (HNU) on August 19, 2019. It was hosted by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) and organized by HNU. A total of 123 participating college students from 102 countries were arranged to take an 11-day camp between August 13 and 23 in China.

  • Hunan Advertising Industry’s Revenue Reaches 15 Bln CNY in H1

    The Hunan provincial advertising business revenue was more than 15 billion CNY in the first half of this year, an increase of 11.5% over the same period of last year. The Internet advertising sector developed rapidly, reaching more than 5 billion CNY. It was learnt from the Hunan Provincial Market Supervision Administration on August 19.
