Mid-Autumn Festival Activities in Changsha (September 12-15)

As one of the most important traditional Chinese festivals, the Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节), or Chinese Moon Festival, falls on the 15th day of the eighth month on the lunar calendar, September 13 this year. A variety of activities are being held in Changsha to celebrate the traditional festival.

The 11th Hunan Tea Expo will take place between September 6 and 9 at the Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Center, which is close to Changsha’s Window on the World. This was announced at a press conference on August 27.
27th China-Japan-South Korea Youth Games (Aug. 23-29)

The China-Japan-South Korea Youth Games began in 1993 and are held annually in China, Japan, or South Korea. This year’s competition is held in Changsha between August 23 and 29. There are 10 events including track and field, handball, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, tennis, soft tennis, and rugby.
