2020 China International Food & Catering Expo (Sept. 18-20)
The 2020 China International Food & Catering Expo (CFCE) will be held at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center between September 18 and 20, 2020. The exhibition will cover an area of 100,000 square meters and there will be more than 2,000 exhibitors with more than 50,000 exhibits.
With the theme of “Innovative Integration, Quality Consumption”, the 2020 CFCE will be composed of “2 major activities plus professional events”. There will be more than 30 events including conference forums, festive contests, and negotiation and matchmaking.
CFCE, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the People's Government of Hunan Province, has been a success for four consecutive sessions. The exhibition expands and the number of exhibitors continues to grow. It has become an important window for displaying new products, technologies, and achievements in the food and catering industry.
Compared to prior sessions, the 2020 expo will advocate the ideas of “frugality and eliminating waste”. It will organize relevant catering industry symposiums and invite large catering and related supply chain companies, to study and suggest ways to promote sustainable catering industry development in the context of COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control situation.
Promoting catering consumption and boosting confidence in development is the focus of the 2020 CFCE. Activities like the “China International Food and Catering Industry Innovation and Development Summit” and the “National Catering Industry Quality Improvement Cooking Competition” will be held to guide catering companies in technological, model, and service innovation; accelerate the convergence of food and catering supply and demand; and, promote the development of the entire industrial chain.
In addition, the Expo will also refer to the online experiences of Canton Fair, Tianjin Fair, and other exhibitions, and realize online matchmaking with the help of small programs and online shopping platforms. It will invite online platform streamers to expand product sales channels via tasting and product promotion.
In order to help Hubei convention and exhibition companies overcome the impact of the epidemic and to also support Hubei's food and catering industry to resume development as soon as possible, the Expo will open a special hall to support the organization of Hubei Wuhan China Food Material E-commerce Festival, and share the exhibition platform and professional audience resources.
The organizing committee has formulated COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control work plan and emergency response plan; established a “CFCE epidemic prevention and control group”; and, controlled the scale of exhibitions and supporting activities. It has not invited foreign and domestic enterprises and personnel in medium and high risks regions to participate in the exhibition, and not accept foreign commodities and goods for exhibition. The international pavilion will be coordinated by domestic institutions such as overseas professional institutions in China and foreign consulates in China.
