7th Overseas Returnees Forum to Be Held in Changsha (Sept. 26-28)
A launch ceremony for the 7th Overseas Returnees Forum and its official WeChat account was held on August 20. It announced that the forum will be held in Changsha between September 26 and 28. Hu Xusheng, vice chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, attended the ceremony.
A series of activities will be held during the forum, including a prime forum, a talent fair, and a roadshow. Experts and scholars with academic background abroad will be invited as speakers to discuss macro policies, regional cooperation, industrial transformation, technological innovation and other topics on the new economy.
During the talent fair, more than 300 job vacancies for overseas talents from the province’s 30 institutions of higher learning and key enterprises will be released to build an all-round, multilevel, wide-ranging talent search and communication channel. A group of qualifying overseas talents will be invited to participate in the talent fair online or offline. Through this way, more talents will be attracted to work in Hunan.
The roadshow aims to promote the effective docking of technologies, products and projects brought by overseas talents with domestic capital. This will help build an important venture capital investment platform, and promote the development and aggregation of artificial intelligence, biomedicine, new materials and other industries in the province.
Other activities include an opening ceremony, project signing, special promotion conferences, and a closing ceremony.
