2019 China International Food and Catering Expo (Sept. 20-22)

A press conference of the 2019 China International Food and Catering Expo is held in Changsha on September 16.

The 2019 China International Food and Catering Expo (CIFC) will be held at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center between September 20 and 22. Several “Belt and Road” countries, and 31 Chinese provinces, cities, and autonomous regions, will present their distinctive delicacies at the event.

The CIFC press conference was held in Changsha on September 16. It announced the theme of the expo – “Innovative Integration, High-quality Consumption”, and several keywords of the event orientations – innovation, coordination, green, open, and sharing. The expo aims to promote the supply-side structural reform and consumption upgrades of catering industry.

Both Hunan characteristics and international elements will be highlighted. Hunan’s geographic indication products, famous brands, and time-honored products will be presented at the Hunan Pavilion. Some companies from the “Belt and Road” countries, and free trade agreement (FTA) partners will participated. As of now, 14 countries and regions have registered to set up national pavilions, including Australia, Rwanda, Brazil, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Austria, and Thailand.

The 81,000-sqm exhibition will have 7 comprehensive areas, and 10 professional areas for catering, ingredients, precooked dishes, grain and oil, coffee and beverage, wine, and ceramics, for 1,600 exhibitors. It will present Hunan’s food and catering resources with superior competiveness, and the catering industrial development in China and foreign countries.

More than 20 activities will be organized during the expo, such as a China International Food and Catering Innovative Development Forum; and a China catering big data conference and Must-eat list release ceremony.

The event will organize discussions on catering industrial development trend, and facilitate interactions between the exhibitors, purchasers, and audiences.
