The 11th Hunan Tea Expo will take place between September 6 and 9 at the Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Center, which is close to Changsha’s Window on the World. This was announced at a press conference on August 27.
According to the organizing committee, the number of exhibitors and exhibits this year will hit a record high. Many regional tea brands including Hunan black tea, Anhua dark tea, Xiaoxiang green tea, Yueyang yellow tea, Sangzhi white tea, and Changsha green tea will be exhibited. A total of 30 county-level tea producers and more than 200 tea companies will participate. The exhibitors also include nearly 1,000 tea companies from China’s provincial-level tea producers.
Nanyue Yunwu Tea will be a highlight of the expo. It grows mainly in Hengshan Mountain, with elevations ranging from 500 to 1,000 meters. It is famous for green color, lingering fragrance, refreshing flavor, and elegant shape.
During the expo, a variety of activities will be held to promote tea culture and enhance Hunan tea brands’ reputation, including the Hunan Top Ten Teas Promotion Conference, 2019 “Tea Ancestor—Shennong Cup” Tea-featured Competition, and Aged Dark Tea Blind Tasting.
