1. Richard Clayderman’s Piano Concert
Date: January 4, 2019, 20:00

Performer: Richard Clayderman
Richard Clayderman was born on December 28, 1953 in Paris, France. At age five, he started practicing the piano and has since gone on to record over 1,300 melodies. To this day, many young musicians have been inspired by Clayderman. He has 267 gold and 70 platinum albums. He is popular in Asia and is noted by the Guinness Book of World Records as being “the most successful pianist in the world”. (visitpasadena.com)

2. Hungarian SZIROM Symphonic Roma Orchestra: 2019 New Year’s Concert

Affiliated to the Future Music Foundation, the SZIROM Symphonic Roma Orchestra includes rigorously selected musicians, who were often invited to perform at major theaters and famous music festivals, and boast outstanding performing skills pleasing to the eyes and the ears. Their performances conveys the rapid change of rhythm and the richness and harmony of colors. At this New Year’s Concert, the orchestra will perform for the Chinese audience classical repertoires of Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Paganini and Tchaikovsky.

3. National Symphony Orchestra of Belarus: 2019 New Year’s Concert

Founded in 1927, the National Symphony Orchestra of Belarus is a European orchestra with a long history. It was officially called the National Symphony Orchestra in 1937 and was awarded the title of “A Model” in 1980. Over the years, the orchestra has cooperated with world-renowned conductors, including Svetlanov, Giziyev, Timir Konov, Kondrashen, and many others. The orchestra specializes in Russian classical music, German romantic works, and 20th century modern works. There are many works by Belarusian composers in the orchestra’s repertoire.

4. Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory Symphony Orchestra: New Year’s Concert

Orchestra: Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory Symphony Orchestra
The Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory Symphony Orchestra is the only subordinate symphony orchestra of the world-class music institute, the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Founded in 1878, the orchestra has a history of more than 140 years. The orchestra is composed of elite members from the orchestra department of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Among them, there are many international competition winners.

5. Deutsche Philharmonie Bonn 2019 New Year’s Concert

The Deutsche Philharmonie Bonn was founded in 1920 in Bonn, the former capital of West Germany and the hometown of Beethoven. In addition to regular performances at the Bonn Philharmonic Concert Hall, the orchestra takes a world tour every two years. So far, nearly 6,000 performances have been staged in over 90 countries. The orchestra has been praised by the German media as the “Ambassador of World Culture”, and once served as Bonn’s “Imperial Symphony Orchestra”, conducting cultural Tours on behalf of Germany.

6. Russian National Orchestra String Quintet Concert

Orchestra: Russian National Orchestra String Quintet (RNO String Quintet)
The Russian National Orchestra (RNO) was founded in 1990 by pianist and conductor Mikhail Pletnev and is today recognized as one of the world’s top orchestras. Of its debut at the BBC Proms in London, the Evening Standard wrote, “They played with such captivating beauty that the audience gave an involuntary sigh of pleasure.” The RNO has been described as “a living symbol of the best in Russian art” (Miami Herald) and “as close to perfect as one could hope for” (Trinity Mirror).
