Belt and Road benefits Changsha
The initiative, established in 2013, has brought more than 84 major foreign projects valued at 4.82 billion yuan ($700 million) in past three years, accounting for nearly 55 percent of Changsha's total foreign investment and involving 21 developing countries and regions.
The projects cover industries such as engineering machinery, bio-pharmaceutical, smart energy, agriculture and mining – with most being undertaken in countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.
Zoomlion, a heavy machinery manufacturer in Changsha, conducted a 33-acre industrial park for the production of machinery in Belarus, and is expecting revenues of up to $300 million upon completion.
