Hunan Auto Show revs up in Changsha
The 2017 Hunan Auto Show, South China's biggest of its kind, got underway in Changsha on May 10, showcasing 600 models from almost 100 different vehicle marques.
Luxury brands such as Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, and Lexus proved popular with many attendees.

To attract extra attention, many exhibitors put on shows near their booths as well as offering discounts for orders placed at the show.
Sales on the first day were higher than last year according to the organizers, who said they expect sales over the five-day period to reach tens of millions of dollars.
Ma Xiangbin, head of the show's organizing committee, said, "Customers find it more affordable to buy cars at an auto show because of the many discounts on offer."
