Peak cherry blossom season hits Changsha

Cherry blossom season has struck Changsha, Hunan province, with an explosion of color spreading around Hunan Forest Botanical Garden's 800 mu (53 hectares).

 

The blossoming cherry trees symbolize the arrival of spring and brighten the popular botanical garden with a plethora of pale pink and white flowers.

Hunan Forest Botanical Garden boasts more than 100 varieties of cherry blossom trees that flower in March and April each year.

 

This year, the best time to appreciate the beautiful flowers is from March 15 to 20, a fact attested by the comments of one visitor from Pingxiang, Jiangxi province.
