  • Hunan Railway Summer Travel Peak Ends

    The 62-day summer travel peak ended August 31. The Changsha South Railway Station announced on September 1 that during the travel peak period between July 1 and August 31, Hunan’s 18 high-speed railway stations had handled 14.96 million passenger trips, an increase of 21.5% over last year and a new high.

  • Xiangjiang River East Bank Levee Upgrading Project to Be Completed

    On August 20, the prefabricated flood control wall near Fengfan Square along the Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt was installed. It was part of the Xiangjiang River East Bank Levee Upgrading Project. So far, the project’s construction work has been finished, and the landscape renovation is underway. Starting from early September, those areas that have completed construction will be gradually open to the public.

  • Changsha Airport to Pilot Direct Luggage Transfer Service

    The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has announced a nationwide pilot plan for direct luggage transfer services at 8 airlines, including Air China, and 29 airports including Changsha Huanghua International Airport.

  • Orange Isle - HB Town Shuttle Bus Opens

    The launching ceremony of the Orange Isle - Huayi Brothers (Changsha) Film Town (HB Town) shuttle bus was held on the Orange Isle on August 17. The bus line connecting two scenic spots provides tourists with integrated ticketing system and one-stop service. Individual tourists can take the shuttle bus instead of driving themselves which may cause parking difficulties.

  • Changsha Xiangfu Road Upgrading Project to Be Completed

    The photo, taken on August 15, shows workers build a road expansion joint, a part of Changsha’s Xiangfu Road upgrading project. The main line upgrading has completed, and the entire road is expected to open to traffic by the end of September.

  • Changsha Opens All-cargo Flight to New York

    [2019.08.12]

    An all-cargo air route linking Changsha and New York made its maiden flight on August 9. This is the second regular all-cargo route operated by a B747 aircraft since the opening of the Changsha-North American all-cargo route.
