Furong Avenue Upgrading Project Construction in Full Swing
Furong Avenue is one of the three trunk highways planned in the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster construction. The Furong Avenue main line is expected to open to traffic at the end of October. Upon opening, it will reduce the travel time between Changsha and Xiangtan to 20 minutes.

East Extension Project of Changsha Metro Line 6 to Start ...
The Changsha Metro Line 6 will be extended eastward by 4.21 kilometers, and the Huanghua Airport East Station will be built to connect with the planned Changsha Maglev Line East Extension, Metro Line 10, and Chongqing-Changsha-Xiamen High-speed Railway, according to Changsha Metro Group on August 17. With an investment of 3.134 billion yuan, the extension project will start construction this October and open to traffic in 2024.
Changsha Subway Passenger Flow Surpasses that of Bus
It was learned from the Changsha Transportation Bureau on August 15 that, in this July, the passenger flow of Changsha subways surpassed that of conventional buses for the first time. It marked that Changsha became the eighth city in China to enter the era with metro transportation services fully covered, after Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, among others.

The “Environmental Impact Report of Changsha Maglev East Extension Line Connecting to Terminal 3 (draft guideline)” was issued on August 10. It said that the projects on the Changsha Maglev East Extension Line connecting to the Changsha Huanghua International Airport Terminal 3 is planned to start construction in October this year and will open to traffic at the end of September 2024.
Hunan’s Airports Resume Over 90% Domestic Flights
Hunan’s airports have resumed passenger flights to 120 airports in 28 provinces, and the number of flights increased from 110 to 736. The Changsha Huanghua International Airport has resumed 93% of normal capacity. Regional airports, including Changde and Yueyang airports, have resumed more than 95%.
