17 Pairs of Ordinary Passenger Trains to Be Added During Upcoming May Day Holiday
The Changsha Railway Station announced on April 25 that, it is expected to transport 252,000 passengers during the upcoming May Day holiday, with a peak of estimated 50,000 passengers on May 1.
During this year’s May Day holiday, most passengers are expected to travel within the province. From noon on April 30 to the morning of May 1, passenger flow will increase significantly, mainly from Changsha to the surrounding cities, including Yueyang, Changde, Zhuzhou, Hengyang, Yiyang, and Zhangjiajie. The return trips will peak on May 5.
During the May Day holiday, 17 pairs of temporary ordinary passenger trains will be added. Among them, 8 pairs will depart from Changsha -- 3 pairs from Changsha to Hengyang, and 1 pair from Changsha to Guangzhou, Chenzhou, Changde, Yongzhou and Yueyang each; and, 9 pairs pass through Changsha. During the holiday, 4 pairs of trains will be added to the Changsha-Shimen County line; and, 11.5 pairs will be added to the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan intercity line. As there will be traveler crowds during the May Day holiday, the railway station reminds passengers to take personal anti-epidemic measures, and cooperate with body temperature checks.
