First Changsha-Moscow Freight Train Launched
The China-Europe (Changsha) Freight Train adds a new route to Moscow. The first Changsha-Moscow freight train departed from the Changsha North Freight Station on the afternoon of March 24. It will arrive at Mosco’s Vorsino Station in 14 days.
The train has 41 carriages, carrying light industrial products worth 3.46 million USD, such as mechanical and electrical products, textile and clothing, shoes, plastic products, and toys. It runs outbound through Manzhouli, and will arrive at Vorsino Station. According to the schedule, one train will be operated every week.
Economic and trade contacts between Changsha and Russia have been intensifying in recent years. In the first two months this year, Changsha’s foreign trade volume with Russia was 1.343 billion CNY, increasing by 265.43% over last years. The exports was 1.043 billion CNY, up 277.45%; and, the imports was 300 million CNY, up 229.06%.
