The Changsha Urban Public Transport Affairs Center announced on December 11 that, starting from the very day, children’s height standard for free bus rides in Changsha’s main urban areas will be adjusted from 1.2 meters to 1.3 meters.
“This minor change is not only in line with current children’s height growth, but also an important step for Changsha to build itself into a child-friendly city. This will help improve children’s growth environment and guarantee their rights and interests,” said Zhou Yunqiu, director of the Changsha Urban Public Transport Affairs Center.
“To implement this adjustment, the Changsha Bus Regulations will be revised accordingly, and all bus companies are required to modify height hints on all buses,” said Tao Wei, deputy director of the center.
