Changsha Airport Entry-Exit Passengers Surpass 2 Million
On September 28, Ms. Zhang, a passenger of the Bk2804 flight, became the 2 millionth traveler at the Changsha Frontier Inspection Station in 2018. It was 37 days earlier than the date made in 2017 when the number of travelers reaching 2 million.
In recent years, under the guidance of the “Belt and Road” initiative, Hunan has carried out frequent exchanges and cooperation with global partners. Changsha airport has also developed rapidly. The Changsha Huanghua International Airport has opened 36 international routes to Europe, America, Oceania, Africa, and Asia, with an average of more than 300 regular international flights per week. The average entry-exit passenger number is nearly 52,000 per week.
Statistically, the top three destinations for Chinese mainland residents departing from Changsha airport are Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia. The top three sources of the foreigners entering the Changsha airport are South Korea, Thailand, and Malaysia. Southeast Asian countries have become both the hottest destinations for Chinese passengers and the major source of international passengers to Changsha.
Last year, the entry-exit passenger flow at Changsha airport ranked 15th nationwide. It was expected that the inbound and outbound trips will exceed 2.7 million in 2018, a new record high of Changsha airport.
