  • Changsha Baxi Isle Eco-tourism Scenic Area Reopens

    The photo, taken on November 5, shows people enjoy the scenery at the Baxi Isle Eco-tourism Scenic Area in Changsha. When the Xiangjiang River flood peak arrived in July, this scenic area was more than half submerged and covered with silt and garbage. After more than 3 months of restoration work, the roads and tourist sights have taken on a new look. It has recently been reopened to the public.

These floating beds will be planted with floating plants with strong ability to improve water quality, such as water pennywort, parrot feather, and tape-grass, to promote the decomposition of organic matter in the water by microorganisms.

    Recently, the Changsha Orange Isle Scenic Area collaborated with Hunan Longxiang Bus Limited Liability Corporation to launch an e-ticketing system for its electric sightseeing vehicles. Tourists can scan a QR code to buy tickets.
