Xiangjiang River East Bank Becomes Ecological Corridor
Since July this year, the Xiangjiang River East Bank Renovation Project for Flood Control started landscape restoration work in its north and south sections, including levee top paving, fence upgrading, and landscape lighting. Recently, the north section, which is 5.1 kilometers in length, has been completed and opened to the public, becoming an ecological corridor along the river.
Xiangjiang Joy Town to Be Completed
The photo, taken on October 9, shows the construction of the Changsha Xiangjiang Joy Town Happy Snowfield is in full swing. Located in Xiangjiang New Area, the project is to be completed, and will open to the public within this year.
Old Photos Displayed on Renovated Old Streets
The second phase of the Baiguoyuan Hualongchi Renovation Project was completed during the National Day holiday this year. Five renovated old streets, namely Guanyinjing Lane, Dongmaojie Lane, Fengyingli Lane, West Fengyingli Lane, have opened to the public. More than 30 historical photos of Changsha provided by the Hunan Photo Gallery were displayed on the walls of these old streets.
Changsha has over 9 Mln National Day Holiday Tourist Arrivals
The Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television, announced that nearly 9.556 million tourist trips were made in Changsha during the National Day holiday, up 20.12% from last year. Tourism revenue totaled 8.762 billion CNY, up 22.48 %.
Locomotive Cultural Park: Ideal Place for Taking Photos
The photo, taken on October 6, shows residents and tourists taking photos near an old locomotive at the Locomotive Cultural Park on Xiangjiang Middle Road in Changsha. After more than a year of construction, the park was opened to the public before the National Day. It became an ideal place for tourists during the National Day holiday.
Hunan’s Tourism Booming During National Day Holiday
The Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism announced on October 5 that Hunan’s tourism has been booming in the first four days of the week-long National Day holiday. A total of 7.915 million tourist trips were made in Hunan’s 125 provincially-monitored scenic spots, making a revenue of 523 million CNY, up 14.0% and 11.1% respectively year on year.
