    On November 18, Tianxin District held a signing ceremony for cross-Strait cooperation projects supported by the central, provincial, and municipal governments’ favorable policies towards Taiwan. A cross-Strait cooperative child-friendly theme park, the first of its kind in China, will be built at Nanjiao Park in Changsha.

In recent years, while improving the quality of urban roads, Changsha has built many of its urban main roads into colorful "landscape roads".

  • Songya Lake National Wetland Park, a Wonderland for Wildlife

    The photo, taken on November 8, shows several common moorhens (Gallinula chloropus) play at sunset at the Songya Lake National Wetland Park in Changsha County. Covering an area of 5,535 mu (369 ha.), the park is Hunan’s largest urban ecological lake. So far, more than 40 species of birds have been spotted. The park has become a wonderland for wildlife.

  • Chrysanthemum Exhibition Opens on Yuelu Mountain

    The 2019 Yuelu Mountain Chrysanthemum Exhibition opened on November 9. About 15,000 pots of chrysanthemums are on display. The flowers were all cultivated in this scenic area. The exhibition presents visitors with the chrysanthemum growing skills and Changsha’s profound chrysanthemum culture.

  • Changsha Baxi Isle Eco-tourism Scenic Area Reopens

    The photo, taken on November 5, shows people enjoy the scenery at the Baxi Isle Eco-tourism Scenic Area in Changsha. When the Xiangjiang River flood peak arrived in July, this scenic area was more than half submerged and covered with silt and garbage. After more than 3 months of restoration work, the roads and tourist sights have taken on a new look. It has recently been reopened to the public.
