Hunan to Limit Visitor Numbers to Scenic Areas During Spring Festival

Recently the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism issued a circular on COVID-19 prevention and control and risk identification during the Spring Festival in 2021. It stipulated that all scenic areas across Hunan shall observe a strict 75 percent maximum capacity limit, and scenic spots above 4A level carry out staggered reservation during the Spring Festival.

In order to consolidate the results of epidemic prevention and control and ensure the safety of tourists, the Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area Administration actively responded to the call. Yuelu Mountain limited tourist numbers starting from February 1, in accordance with the principles of reasonable planning, orderly opening, and strict implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures in public places.

Visitors are advised to make appointment in advance with limit on visitor numbers. 

According to the requirements of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Lushan Mountain Scenic Area will limit its daily reception numbers to 75% of its maximum capacity. The appointment periods will be 6:00-14:00 in the morning and 14:00-23:00 in the afternoon. The scenic spot will take measures to restrict entry when reaching tourist number capping.  

The Juzi (Orange) Isle Scenic Area will observe a strict 75 percent maximum capacity limit. When the tourist numbers of the scenic spot get warned within fixed time periods (7:00-14:00 in the morning, 14:00-22:00 in the afternoon), visitors will not be allowed to enter.

Before visiting Yuelu Mountain and Orange Isle, citizens need to make an appointment in advance through the WeChat official account of the "Yuelu Mountain Orange Isle Tourist Area". Tourists who have successfully made an appointment could enter the scenic spot with a confirmed QR code. 

To make tourists have a better travel experience, it is recommended to make an appointment in advance and make an appointment at a staggered peak.

Notice to tourists visiting Yuelu Mountain-Juzi Isle Scenic Area

When entering the scenic spot, please cooperate with the staff to take body temperature; wear a mask; adopt staggered visiting; and, maintain a social distancing of more than 1 meter.

Group tourists should visit the scenic area at different time periods. It is recommended that the number of group tourists should be no more than 30 to avoid centralized admission and implement decentralized tours. Gathering and exercise in the scenic area will be avoided.

Lushan Scenic Area will be strictly controlled.

Taking active prevention and control measures to ensure safe travel

During the epidemic prevention and control period, in order to create a safe travel environment for tourists, the Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area will thoroughly disinfect all functional areas, offices and, service facilities and equipment.

The tourist service (consultation) center is disinfected more than twice a day; means of transportation such as ropeways, slides, and sightseeing buses are disinfected every morning and afternoon; in addition, the center also provides disposable masks, disinfectants, and medical clinical thermometer for tourists, to ensure a safe trip.
