The Intangible Cultural Heritage Hall, Yuhua District, Changsha
The Intangible Cultural Heritage Hall, Yuhua District, Changsha is located at No. 198, East Shanmuchong Road, Hongxing Commercial Circle, Yuhua District, Changsha. It has a construction area of 48,000 square meters. It is China’s first comprehensive intangible cultural heritage platform that integrates multiple functions such as exhibition and performance, education, learning, and exchange and discussion.
The Hall has gathered more than 300 intangible cultural heritage projects including 10 world-class and 55 national-level projects, and more than 1,000 kinds of handicrafts. It has attracted more than 200 intangible cultural heritage inheritors, and received many visits from foreign guests including students, social organizations, and government leaders.
Today, the Hall is not only an important window for foreign friends to know about Changsha and Hunan, but also a shining cultural identity of Changsha. It also serves as a bridge for fine traditional Chinese culture and traditional handicrafts to go out into the world.
