Covering a total area of 540 mu (36 hectares), Nanjiao Park was founded in 1986. 93.7 percent of the landmass is occupied by forests, leading to it being called "the green pearl".
The park offers a perfect place for Changsha residents to spend their leisure time, immerse in the natural environment and also as a place of entertainment with the introduction of a series of new recreational facilities including a Ferris wheel, bee rotating cup, strawberry-shaped tourist car, sky shuttle and a Thomas train.
