  • Chinese Traditional Music Enchants Foreigners

    A Chinese traditional music appreciation activity was launched at the Changsha Harmonization+ Library on July 28. It was hosted by the Hunan Library, and the Changsha Yuhua District Cultural, Tourism, and Sports Bureau. More than 150 music lovers from over 30 countries participated. They learnt about Chinese musical instruments, appreciated Chinese musical masterpieces, listened to legendary stories, tasted Chinese tea, and read Chinese poems.

  • Chinese and Russian Youths Get a Taste of Traditional Chinese Medicine

    On the afternoon of July 21, a cultural experience activity of the 6th China-Russia “Yangtze River-the Volga” Youth Forum was held at the Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, Changsha. The forum was attended by 132 Russian youths from 14 Russian federal subjects in the Volga Federal District. It was also attended by 180 Chinese youth representatives from 6 Chinese provinces and municipalities all from the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River. These young people gathered to learn about traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) culture and interact and exchange with each other.

    On July 16, more than 300 Chinese and Russian youth representatives of the 6th “Yangtze River-the Volga” Youth Forum, visited the Changsha Binjiang Cultural Park. It is a landmark of Changsha City, and is the location of the Changsha Planning Exhibition Hall, Changsha Library, Changsha Concert Hall, and Changsha Museum. Through the visit, they would deepen their impressions about Changsha as the “City of Media Arts”.
