Visitors can experience such intangible cultural heritage items as Wangcheng paper cutting, traditional incense making skills, Changsha seal cutting, and Hunan opera facial mask painting.

  • Online Lantern Riddle Guessing Game and Flower-drum Opera Performances

    The Lantern Festival, a traditional Chinese festival, is celebrated on the 15th day of the first month of the Chinese lunar calendar. It falls on February 26 this year. The Changsha Mass Art Center launches an online lantern riddle guessing game, starting on February 22 and ending on  26. The lantern riddles are original and associated with Changsha.

  • “The Sound of Oscar-winning Films” Symphony Concert

    A symphony concert entitled “The Sound of Oscar-winning Films” will be staged at Hunan Grand Theatre on the evening of February 25, the 14th day of the first lunar month. It is part of the Hunan New Year Performance Season. It will be conducted by the USA-based youth conductor Wu Bo, and performed by the Changsha Symphony Orchestra.
