Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience
1. Launching Ceremony
Time: 9:30 am on October 1
Venue: Badminton Court, Hunan Cultural Center
2. Hands-on Activities on Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage
Time: 9:30-11:30 am on October 1
Venue: Badminton Court, Hunan Cultural Center
Activities include traditional Chinese perfumed powder making, dough modelling, Chinese knot weaving, and participants wearing Hanfu to pose for a photo.
3. Yongzhou Wood Carving Works Exhibition
Duration: October 1 – 30
Venue: Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition and Experience Hall
Nearly 50 Yongzhou wood carving works with various shapes will be displayed to meet needs of different ages. The works are created based on cedarwood, camphorwood, and pearwood.
Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Week
Duration: 9:30-11:00 am from October 2 to 7
Venue: Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition and Experience Hall
1. Paper-cutting (October 2)
2. Bamboo Weaving (October 3)
3. Nvshu (October 4)
4. Oil-paper umbrella making (October 5)
5. Chinese knot making (October 6)
6. Nut carving (9:30-11:00 and 15:00-16:30 on October 7)
Free Visits to Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall
Time: 9:00-12:00 /14:30-17:30 from Tuesdays to Sundays (It is closed on Mondays normally. During national holiday, it will close on Friday, Oct. 9)
