The construction of Hunan Rice Noodles Street in Changsha is expected to be completed on September 30 and open to the public during the National Day holiday. Now 70% of the project has been finished. Upon completion, it will provide residents with the most distinctive rice noodles popular in Hunan’s cities and prefecture.
The street in Jiucaiyuan is connected to Wuyi Avenue in the south and Bayi Road in the north. It is about 400 meters long and has 71 stores. According to a person in charge of Jiucaiyuan Neighborhood, Furong District will upgrade Jiucaiyuan North Road into a provincial rice noodles street. It will be built based on the “government-led, enterprise-dominated, and market-oriented” development principle. Taking a rice noodles museum as the lead, the district will introduce Hunan’s distinctive rice noodles brands to build the street into a popular destination integrating food, culture, tourism, and entertainment. The move helps drive the development of surrounding restaurants and hotels and boost Hunan rice noodles industry.
