Changsha Attracts 7.95 Mln Tourists During Golden Week
The Hunan Tourism Development Commission and Changsha Tourism Bureau announced that over 7.95 million tourist trips were made in Changsha, and 7.15 billion CNY of revenue generated during the national day golden week from October 1 to 7. A year on year growth of 3.49% and 3.28% were seen respectively. The figures showed that Changsha is particularly popular with tourists and it has become the tourism center in Hunan. There were 670,000 tourist trips made in Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area, making it the first among the 127 tourist areas (spots) that were included into the monitoring system in Hunan.
During the National Day Holiday, the Umbrian Jazz Festival was held in HB Movie Town; a new flight theater and “Batu Hitam” stunt show were opened at Macrolink Tongguan Kiln Ancient Town Complex; Liuyang Fireworks Conference and the 8th International Music Fireworks Competition were held; and Yanghu Music Week at Yanghu Wetland Park attracted nearly 10,000 visitors every day.
Rural towns located in the suburbs of Changsha have become hot destinations for holiday. The shadow puppetry, flower drum opera and folk performances at Jinggang Ancient Town attracted many tourists. Family tour was popular at Shutang Mountain Town. The statistics shows that Xiangjiang Ancient Town Group received 830,000 tourists, and Qianlong Lake 60,000 tourists during the holiday.
