“Chinese Bridge” Summer Camp Opens at HNU

The Summer Camp of the 18th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students opened at Hunan University (HNU) on August 19, 2019. It was hosted by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) and organized by HNU. A total of 123 participating college students from 102 countries were arranged to take an 11-day camp between August 13 and 23 in China.
Top 5 Selected in 18th “Chinese Bridge” Competition

On August 14, the 8th round of the 18th Chinese Bridge Competition semi-finals was held in Changsha. Finally, top 5 were selected based on their 5th, 6th and 7th rounds performances and writn exam results. They are Xiao Ma (Australia), An Zishi (Moldova), Luo Mingyan (the United States), Shi Yu (Egypt), and Jiang Tiangai (Myanmar).

The top 15 contestants of the 18th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students sat for a written exam in Changsha on August 13. The exam results will be counted into the total score together with their accumulated scores in the 5th, 6th, and 7th rounds of the finals. Top 5 contestants will be selected in the 8th round.
