Hunan Government Holds 2021 Spring Festival Gathering

The CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Hunan Provincial People’s Government held the 2021 Spring Festival gathering in Changsha on the morning of February 8. Xu Dazhe, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, delivered a speech. Mao Weiming, deputy director of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, presided over the gathering.

The CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Hunan Provincial People’s Government held the 2021 Spring Festival gathering in Changsha on the morning of February 8, to celebrate the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year of the Ox, which falls on Feb. 12 this year. Xu Dazhe, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, delivered a speech. Mao Weiming, deputy director of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, presided over the gathering.

 Du Jiahao, vice chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress, and provincial leaders and old comrades including Li Weiwei, Wu Lan, Yang Zhengwu, Wang Keying, Hu Biao, Huang Lanxiang, Xie Jianhui, Zhang Jianfei, Feng Yi, Zhang Hongsen, Li Dianxun, Yao Laiying, Wang Cheng, and Liu Lianyu, were present at the event. 

 On behalf of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, the Hunan Provincial People’s Government, the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, and the Hunan Provincial Military Area Command, Secretary Xu Dazhe extended festive greetings to people of all ethnic groups in Hunan. He wished everyone a happy Spring Festival and good health in the New Year. He wished everyone and his family happiness in the year ahead. 

 The attendees included: 

 --leaders and old comrades above the vice-provincial level; 

--secretary-generals and deputy secretary-generals of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, the Hunan Provincial People’s Government, and the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee; 

 --persons in charge of relevant provincial departments, the Changsha government, and central enterprise in Hunan; 

--representatives of units at the regiment level or above in Changsha, and deputies to the National People’s Congress and CPPCC members in Changsha; 

 --persons in charge of non-Communist parties, the federations of industry and commerce, the Alumni Association of the Huangpu Military Academy; 

 --public figures without party affiliation, compatriots in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and overseas Chinese nationals; 

--people from all walks of life including model workers, workers, farmers, public security officers, armed police, military personnel’s’ family, veterans representatives and those of ethnic groups, religions, science and technology, education, culture, health, sports, fire protection, and private enterprises; and, 

 --leading Party and government officials of universities in Changsha.
