The photo, taken on February 4, shows residents shopping at the Hongwang Grand Market in Wangcheng District, Changsha.
As the Spring Festival approaches, Changsha’s commerce department is doing its best to ensure supply and price stability in areas related to people's livelihood. More than 400 business circulation enterprises in the city have been monitored, with a daily reporting system implemented. Large markets, supermarkets, and convenience stores have been organized to replenish supplies ahead of the Spring Festival.
Changsha has an inventory of 4,500 tons of frozen pork, 30,000 heads of live pigs, 23 million poultry, 50, 000 beef cattle, and over 400,000 tons of vegetables, with 350,000 mu (23,333 ha.) of vegetables growing at the gardens. The city can be self-sufficient in meat and vegetables for 15 days. This helps ensure the effective supply of meat and vegetables during the Spring Festival. (Photos/Xu Xing, Hunan Daily)
