Vice Mayor Zhu Dongtie Inspects Construction of Airport Block in China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area

Changsha Vice Mayor Zhu Dongtie led a team to inspect the construction of airport block in the China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area on January 28. 

Vice Mayor Zhu Dongtie successively inspected the 58 Huanghua Digital Trade Port Project, the Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone-Huanghua International Airport Port Office Linkage Project, and the Yacui Cultural Relics Return and Artworks Import and Export Project. He learned about these projects’ construction and operation situation.

The airport block in the China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area covers an area of 15.94 square kilometers, with the Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone as the core. Since the China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone was approved, the airport block has taken the initiative to undertake and promote 17 reform items and pilot projects. Among them, 9 items including zone-port linkage, import and export commodities display and trading, and cultural relics return, have made substantial progress. The airport block has attracted 10 major projects with a total investment of 19.2 billion yuan. It has also explored new business forms such as financial leasing and financial services, and the 58 Huanghua Digital Trade Port project will be put into operation soon. In 2020, the airport block’s import and export volume rose 32.42% year on year to 7.479 billion USD, accounting for 10% of the province’s total and 20% of the city’ total. It achieved a fixed investment of 5.08 billion CNY.
