Anti-epidemic Supplies Delivered from Changsha to Angola
A EuroAtlantic Airways plane carrying anti-epidemic medical supplies took off on May 21 from the Changsha Huanghua International Airport for Angola in Africa. This is the 97th all-cargo charter flight by refitted passenger aircraft operated in Hunan this year.
Entrusted by the Angolan government, the Hunan General Chamber of Commerce in Angola planned to purchase medical and anti-epidemic supplies worth of 10 million USD for Angola. With the assistance of the Hunan Department of Commerce, more than 3 million USD of medical and anti-epidemic materials have been ready. Airports, ports, customs and related authorities cooperated to guarantee the smooth operation of the first direct charter flight from Changsha to Angola.
The first all-cargo flight by refitted passenger aircraft was launched on March 26. As of May 21, the Changsha Huanghua International Airport had operated 97 all-cargo flights by refitted passenger aircraft and transported 1,079 tons of medical and anti-epidemic materials.
