The 2019 Global Startup Awards (GSA) Changsha Award Ceremony and Industry Match-making Event are held at Meixi lakeside between December 12 and 14. It marked the opening of the world’s largest independent startup ecosystem competition in China for the first time. Startups, investors, and entrepreneurs from more than 60 countries participated to share updates, achievements, and experiences in the hi-tech sector.
Themed “Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Industrial Connectivity”, the event focuses on state-of-art technologies in the fields of artificial intelligence and fintech. An opening ceremony, road shows, special activities, parallel activities at three industrial parks, and an award ceremony are held.
A total of 32 GSA awards in 7 categories will be presented, including Startup of the Year; Best Newcomer; Founder of the Year; Investor of the Year; Best Coworking Space; Best Accelerator or Incubator Program; and other awarded-startup.
The GSA Award Ceremony is under the auspices of the Council for Promoting South-South Cooperation of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and hosted by the Yuelu Mountain National University Science and Technology Town Promotion Committee and the GSA Organizing Committee.
