Changsha Wins Its 12th “Happiest Cities in China” Award

The China Happy Cities Forum was held in Guangzhou on November 25. The results of the 13th “Happiest Cities in China” Survey and Selection were released during the forum. Changsha was on the list of the “Happiest Cities in China 2019”. This is Changsha’s 12th “Happiest Cities” award. Changsha was awarded the honorary title of a "Vibrant City” as an individual award for the first time. Changsha County was on the list of the “Happiest County-level Cities in China 2019”. 


Hu Zhongxiong, deputy secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, Changsha mayor, and secretary of the CPC Working Committee of the Xiangjiang New Area, attended the forum on behalf of the Changsha government and delivered a keynote speech.

Other cities on the list of “Happiest Cities in China 2019” were: Chengdu, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Xi’an, Guangzhou, Wenzhou, Taizhou, Tongchuan, and Xuzhou.

Sponsored by the Oriental Outlook weekly and Liaowang Institute of Xinhua News Agency, the “Happiest Cities in China” Survey and Selection and the China Happy Cities Forum have been held for 13 years. More than 1 billion people across the country participated in the survey, and more than 1,000 media reported on it.
