The 3rd Industrial Internet Lugu Summit was held in Changsha on November 6. It was jointly hosted by the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and China Unicom Hunan Branch (Hunan Unicom). Experts in the professional associations/societies of the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing gathered in Changsha to discuss new concepts, new trends, and new approaches for the development of industrial internet in the 5G era.
The summit presented how to use AI, blockchain, cloud, big data, edge computing and other technologies in the 5G era to strengthen the service capabilities of county-level smart city integrated cloud platform. China Unicom's county-level smart city integrated cloud platform is a new one based on county-level big data analysis to provide important references for the scientific decision-making of district and county governments. The implementation of the platform in Hunan will improve government services in an all-round way.
Hunan Unicom also released a new network for government-enterprise cooperation. It can transmit high-quality medical and education resources to underdeveloped areas, so as to improve the living conditions of people living in towns, districts, and counties.
A main forum and sub-forums were set up. The main forum discussed the topics of industrial transformation through 5G for high-quality development; blockchain; county market internet and real economy; and IDC development status and trends. There were two sub-forums: IoT and Applications and Cloud Computing; and Big Data Development and Application. They focused on IoT development; IoT industry and its cases; IoT enterprise value realization; and, cloud computing, big data, and smart tourism in the 5G era.
In order to support Hunan’s manufacturing and accelerate the deep integration of its industry and information technology, China Unicom has given 5G support for high-end equipment manufacturing enterprises and facilitated smart scenarios such as robot real-time grasping, automatic detection based on 8K ultra-high-definition video, and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) operations.
China Unicom also has a 5G-based industrial internet platform which provides equipment sharing and collaborative design for ordinary manufacturing enterprises, so as to meet the rapid expansion and management demand of enterprises.
During the summit, Hunan Unicom signed comprehensive business cooperation agreements with the Yueyang Municipal People's Government, the Yiyang Municipal People's Government, Huawei, Tencent, Alibaba, Baidu Inc., Kingsoft, Sunward Intelligent Equipment Group, Gold Cup Electric, and SF Express.
