Changsha’s Foreign Trade up 67.1% in First 3 Quarters
Changsha’s foreign trade value rose 67.1% from last year to 143.53 billion CNY in the first three quarters this year, the Changsha Customs data showed.
The growth rate was 16.7 percentage points higher than the whole province. The exports were 100.36 billion CNY, up 91.8%; and, the imports 43.17 billion CNY, up 28.5%. In September, the city’s foreign trade totaled 20.24 billion CNY, up 83.0%.
Private enterprises remained Changsha’s main importers and exporters. In the first three quarters, the volume of imports and exports by Changsha’s private enterprises grew by 105.4% to 105.25 billion CNY, accounting for 73.3% of the city’s total.
Hong Kong, ASEAN and the EU member countries were Changsha’s major trading partners. Between January and September, Changsha’s trade with Hong Kong was 23.34 billion CNY, up 144.4%; that with ASEAN countries 22.73 billion CNY, up 100.1%; and, that with EU countries 22.22 billion CNY, up 56.9%.
