Chinese Classical Music Concert Staged to Celebrate 70th Anniversary of PRC Founding

A special concert of Chinese classical music was staged at the Changsha Concert Hall that evening, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
The concert was conducted by Xiao Ming, chief of the Changsha Symphony Orchestra. Zhang Zhuo, a young singer from the China National Opera and Dance Drama Theatre, soloed with the Changsha Symphony Orchestra.
The concert started with “The First Symphonic Overture”, the theme symphony of the famous TV drama Jiqing Ranshao De Suiyue (The Years of Burning Passion).
Later, contemporary outstanding Chinese classic music were performed, including:
- Festive Overture;
- Senem Rhapsody;
- Prosperous China; and,
- Songs by Long Isle People.
These performances drew warm applause from the audience.
