Governor Xu Visits “Falling in Love With Hunan” Photograph Exhibition
The results of the “Falling in Love with Hunan” – the most beautiful photograph collection and selection activity was announced at the Hunan Martyrs Park on September 26. Two hundred photographs were awarded. The photograph exhibition of “Falling in Love with Hunan” opened simultaneously.
Xu Dazhe, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Hunan governor, visited the exhibition.
Wang Qun, secretary general of the People’s Government of Hunan Province, was also present.
Nearly 400 photos are on display, presenting Hunan’s development achievements, natural scenery, folk customs, distinctive innovations, and historical culture.
Governor Xu viewed the photographs with great interests. He said that, such exhibition is a good way to promote Hunan, and facilitate Hunan’s development of “all-for-one” tourism. He hoped more brilliant photographs presenting Hunan will be collected to publicize the beauty of Hunan, and motivate the Hunan people to take concerted efforts to build Hunan into an attractive, prosperous and promising place.
The photograph collection and selection activity was launched on May 31 last year, to collect photographs presenting distinctive characteristics of Hunan’s different regions. The photographs are displayed at the official website of the Hunan Provincial People’s Government, which have attracted wide attentions and participations from both home and abroad. Nearly 7,000 photographs were collected, and nearly 5 million people voted.
The photograph exhibition at Hunan Martyrs Park will last until Oct. 7.
