Changsha, Huawei Join Hands to Develop Kunpeng Computing Industry

On September 10, the Changsha Municipal People’s Government and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. signed a framework agreement to cooperate in the fields of Kunpeng computing industry and intelligent connected vehicle (ICV) industry.
Hu Henghua, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Standing Committee member and CPC Changsha Municipal Committee secretary; and, Hou Jinlong, senior vice president of Huawei and president of Huawei’s Cloud & AI product and service, witnessed the signing ceremony.
Under the agreement, the two sides will promote the settlement and rapid development of Kunpeng computing industry in Changsha by combining Changsha’s foundation of digital economy and Huawei’s advantages in information and communication technologies such as chips, operating systems, and databases. Specifically, they will build an innovative production center based on Kunpeng processors and a Kunpeng cloud service innovation center.
In addition, they will build a cloud-based system for the ICV industry; and further explore ICV application scenarios based on Hunan Xiangjiang New Area’s ICV industry ecosystem, so as to build an open and innovative system of ICV application scenarios that leads the country.
Huawei will leverage Changsha’s advantages in enterprises and universities to promote the integrated development of enterprises, universities, and research institutes; accelerate the cultivation of talents in the Kunpeng computing industry; and, build a multilevel talent cultivation system for the ICV industry.
