6th Overseas Returnees Forum Opens in Changsha
The 6th Overseas Returnees Forum opened in Changsha on September 8. More than 400 guests attended the opening ceremony, including over 120 high-level returned talents from abroad.

The three-day forum is sponsored by the CZGP Central Returned Overseas Scholars Committee, the CZGP Hunan Provincial Committee, and the Office of Foreign Affairs Commission of CPC Hunan Provincial Committee.
A variety of special events will be held, such as exchange meetings among high-level overseas talents and overseas Chinese associations; project road shows; and, inspection and exchange activities.
All the overseas talents invited by the forum this year have a doctor’s degree or higher, and some of them are overseas academicians or tenured professors. The forum organizers collected detailed requirements on talents from 45 Hunan universities and enterprises and released information on more than 400 job opportunities for talented expatriates. So far, more than 10 have either agreed to employment or begun employment.
Seven cooperation project agreements including “Prevention and Treatment of Fatty Liver Disease” were signed on site. During the event, there will also be road shows for 18 projects led by overseas returnees, covering the fields of health care, artificial intelligence, big data, new materials, environmental protection, and intelligent manufacturing.
