An all-cargo air route linking Changsha and New York made its maiden flight on August 9. This is the second regular all-cargo route operated by a B747 aircraft since the opening of the Changsha-North American all-cargo route. It is the sixth all-cargo route of the Changsha Huanghua International Airport.
The Halifax-Changsha-New York flight operates on every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. The first flight carried 60 tons of cargo, mainly Boston lobsters, to Changsha. The outbound cargo is 107 tons, mainly cross-border e-commerce goods.
The Changsha airport’s international cargo transportation has developed rapidly in recent years. It has opened all-cargo air routes between Changsha and North America, Dhaka, Manila, Ho Chi Minh, and Bangkok. This new route further expands the airport’s international all-cargo route resources.
