Chinese and Russian Youths Get a Taste of Traditional Chinese Medicine
On the afternoon of July 21, a cultural experience activity of the 6th China-Russia “Yangtze River-the Volga” Youth Forum was held at the Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, Changsha. The forum was attended by 132 Russian youths from 14 Russian federal subjects in the Volga Federal District. It was also attended by 180 Chinese youth representatives from 6 Chinese provinces and municipalities all from the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River. These young people gathered to learn about traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) culture and interact and exchange with each other.

"Among these food medicinal materials, which one enriches the blood and relieves fatty liver disease?" "I choose red dates", "I think it's goji berries"...Through a series of interesting activities, famous professors, teachers and student representatives of the Hunan University of Chinese Medicine shared TCM knowledge with the youths. These included "Food and medicine are homologous", "Disease prevention-Five-animal Exercises", and "Let TCM invigorate young people".
Russian youth noted that, “TCM is the world's most mysterious and magical medical skill and sometimes it can be incredibly effective. This is amazing!”
