CAICT South-Central China Base Established in Changsha
The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) South-central China Base was established at Changsha National Economic & Technical Development Zone (CNETDZ) on June 22. Wang Xinzhe, chief economist of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT); and Hu Henghua, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Standing Committee member and CPC Changsha Municipal Committee secretary, unveiled the nameplate. CPC CAICT Committee Secretary Li Yong also attended.
CAICT is China’s most important support unit in the field of Information and Communications Technology and is a scientific research institute directly under MIIT.
Located in CNETDZ, the newly-established base will serve as a regional platform for CAICT business development and a practice base of scientific research achievements. It is committed to promoting the industrial and information process in Central and South China.
In the future, CAICT will take the base as a platform to introduce more advantageous resources and leverage its advantages in national policies, technological innovation and development, and industrial ecology construction, so as to promote high-quality development of Changsha’s manufacturing industry.
The base will provide local governments and enterprises with professional services including consulting and planning, training and practice, evaluation and diagnosis, test and certification, and platform construction in the fields of industrial Internet, intelligent manufacturing, 5G, Internet of vehicles, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, network and information security.
