Finland Education Delegation Visits Changsha
A 9-person education delegation from Seinäjoki, Finland visited Changsha on June 11 and 12. During their stay, the delegation visited schools including Changsha University, the Middle School Attached to Changsha University, Changsha High-tech Engineering School, Lushan International Experimental Primary School, Changsha Education Bureau Kindergarten, and others. They conducted friendly exchanges with school supervisory personnel. Seinäjoki’s Marttila Primary School signed a sister-school agreement with Changsha’s Lushan International Experimental Primary School.
On the afternoon of June 11, Kong Yiping, deputy director of the Office of Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, met with the delegation and hosted a banquet for them.
Kong welcomed the guests and briefed them on Changsha. He said that it has not been long since Changsha and Seinäjoki became sister cities. Frequent exchanges have been conducted between the two cities ever since. The Seinäjoki mayor has visited Changsha twice. An economic and trade delegation and an education delegation from Seinäjoki visited the city. Changsha also sent delegations to Seinäjoki over the past two years. This demonstrates that there is strong inclusiveness and complementarity between the two cities to carry out exchanges and cooperation.
The head of the delegation said that Changsha, a famous historical and cultural city, left a good impression on him. He hoped that more cooperative achievements will be made between Seinäjoki and Changsha in education and other fields. The friendly relationship between the two cities will continue to improve.
