361,500 Passenger Trips Made on Changsha Metro Line 4 in First Two Days
The Changsha Metro Line 4 Phase I began trial operation at 11:28 on May 26. In the first two days since its opening, 1,879,900 passenger trips were made on Changsha’s metro lines (Metro Line 1, 2, and 4), with 361,500 on Metro Line 4.
On May 26, the opening day, there were 938,600 passenger trips made on Changsha’s metro lines, an increase of 30.2% compared with the previous day. There were 186,400 passenger trips made on Metro Line 4. On May 27, there were 941,300 passenger trips made on Changsha’s metro lines, with 175,100 on Metro Line 4. The top three stations in terms of passenger transport volume on Metro Line 4 were Yingwanzhen, Changsha South Railway Station, and Huangtuling.
The Changsha Metro Line 4 is 33.5 kilometers long and connects the northwest and southeast of Changsha. Its opening has transformed Changsha’s metro network from a “cross” shape into a “Union Jack” one, greatly facilitating Changsha people’s life.
