Electronic ID Card Used as Boarding Certificate at Airport
The Hunan Public Security Department announced at a press conference on May 22 that, the scope of applicability of electronic certificates for residents registered with Hukou (household registration system) in Hunan was expanded. From the day on, Hunan residents with electronic ID card issued by the “Hunan Public Security Online Service (https://fwpt.hnga.gov.cn/#/index)” platform can check in at the Changsha Huanghua International Airport.
The platform started to operate on April 11. A total of 369 administrative service items are open to the public through such channels as website, WeChat, and App. It also provides electronic version of identification card, driving license, and other certificates that issued by Hunan’s public security authorities. These electronic certificates can be used for hotel check-in, motor vehicle renting, and personal financial business.
The Hunan public security authority collaborated with the Hunan Airport Corporation to open e-identification card check-in service from May 22. The passengers, who do not carry or lose their identification cards, can check in at the Changsha Huanghua International Airport check-in counter, and complete safety check at T1 Terminal Security Check No.1 or T2 Terminal Security Check No. 15, with their e-identification cards issued by the platform.
Opened for one month, the platform has issued 46.34 e-identification cards, and enabled about 502,000 people to check into hotels. Next, the Hunan Public Security Department will collaborate with hospitals, banks, high-speed railway, and mobile payment, to develop more online services.
