“Changsha Elements” Shine at ASEAN-China Media Cooperation Forum

The 2019 ASEAN-China Media Cooperation Forum kicked off in Beijing on May 14. China’s Changsha City and Thailand’s Chiang Mai City as the main guest cities, held an interactive promotion conference called “Changsha Meets with Chiang Mai” during the forum.
Displayed cultural and creative products became Changsha’s cultural calling card, attracting much attention. With rich “Changsha Elements”, they showcased to the visitors Liuyang grass cloth intangible culture and the Art of Chinese Character.

Guests were amazed by products like the rubbings of Yuelu Academy, Chairman Mao’s poems, and Chinese zodiac pictographs from the Song Dan Chinese Character Art Museum. “This time we bring cultural and creative products featuring Chinese characters and Changsha elements, such as Yuelu Academy and Chairman Mao’s poems,” said Song Dan, curator of the museum. He also hoped that, through the exhibition, the art of Chinese characters will be spread more widely.
