Concert Held to Commemorate 100th Anniversary of May Fourth Movement

On May 4, the "Song of Youth" symphony concert was held in Changsha to commemorate the 100th anniversary of May Fourth Movement. Fourteen high-quality programs were staged to convey young people's love for the motherland and ode to youth. The concert was hosted by the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League of China and related departments.

The concert started with the song "My Motherland" and ended in a chorus of "Glory, Communist Youth League of China". The Changsha Symphony Orchestra, Hunan Normal University Tianlai Choir, Central South University Symphony Orchestra, Hunan Red Scarf Choir, and some outstanding Hunan young singers performed in various forms of symphony, solo, chorus, recitation, and musicals.

The programs included "Youth Direction", "Flowers in May ", "Back to Country Life", " Festive Overture", "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai", "Moss", "Motherland, My Kindly Mother", "I Love You, China", "Jasmine", "The Yellow River", "My Motherland and Me", and "Our New Era".

Artists’ beautiful music and exquisite performances drew warm applause from the audience.
